The Steering and the Scientific Committee welcomes
the submission of technical papers for presentation at the
1st International Conference on Natural Hazards and Infrastructure: 
Protection, Design, Rehabilitation.
We hope you will join us in Chania Greece, in this new promising event, so make sure you mark your calendar and make the necessary arrangements to attend.

The Conference Registration Fee (Full Delegate or Student) includes:

  • Admission to all technical Sessions and Exhibition
  • Delegate bag and all conference material
  • The conference proceedings
  • Lunch and coffee breaks throughout the conference
  • Welcome Reception (held on the 27th of June)

1-day pass participants may choose ONE (out of 3) Conference Days to attend. The 1-day pass includes:

  • Admission to all technical Sessions and Exhibition during the selected day
  • Delegate bag and all conference material
  • An electronic copy of the conference proceedings
  • Lunch and coffee breaks on the selected Conference day

Instructions for Presentation UPLOADING

  1. Presentation Uploading is available using the online form
  2. Please name your file as : ‘Paper ID’_’Presenting Author LASTNAME’ (e.g. 209_Rey)   
  3. The presentation shall be submitted in either MS Powerpoint or PDF format following the Presentation TEMPLATE.


  1. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings provided that the corresponding author has been registered to the conference by May 27 2016. The corresponding (registered) author is not necessarily the first author.
  2. There is a limit of 2 (two) papers per registered corresponding author. A surcharge of €100 per extra paper applies for delegates wishing to serve as corresponding authors of more than 2 papers.
  3. The best among peer reviewed papers will be forwarded for publication at a Special Journal Publication.
  4. Accepted Papers will be presented either orally or in poster presentations. Oral presentations will be delivered either during theme sessions or during 5-in-5 sessions. The latter consists of presentation of 5 slides in 5 minutes in what is expected to form the essence of a lively conference boosting the exchange of several ideas among delegates.
